The Paulding County Genealogy Society Celebrates the 250th Anniversary of the United States of America with the 2nd of Four Monthly Programs.


Why did the American Colonies Decide to Go to War Against the Most Powerful Nation on Earth?


Robert C. Jones, a military historian, will speak to the membership and guests of the Paulding Genealogy Society on Saturday, June 13th, 2026 at the Dallas Public Library at 10am.


The topics of discussion are before 1776, Why the Colonies went to War, and the Revolutionary War in South Carolina and Georgia. Other topics include the Ending of the Revolutionary War including Yorktown and the many roles of Women in the Revolution.


Robert Jones served as the President of the Kennesaw Historical Society for many years and also served as a member of the executive board of the Kennesaw Museum Foundation. The Foundation helped fund the 50,000 square foot Southern Museum…
