Join the Paulding County Genealogical Society on May 4th for our monthly program which will focus on the historical families of Dallas, Georgia and Paulding County. Our guest speaker, Mr. Boyd Austin, will present the fascinating stories of the many families who helped to build the foundation of Dallas, Georgia and our surrounding communities. Mr. Austin’s program will touch on many important landmarks, churches, and events that put Paulding County on the map.
Mr. Boyd Austin is a lifelong citizen of Paulding County who served as the mayor of Dallas, Georgia for 25 years. As a graduate of the University of Georgia and president of his fraternity, Mr. Austin continued forward to lead as a public servant and a community leader throughout his life. Through years of commitment, Mr. Austin was an instrumental part of the historical preservation of Dallas. Boyd is an active member of First Baptist Church in…
