About the Event
Join the Paulding County Genealogical Society at the Dallas Public Library for our June presentation with local residents, Roy Moore and Major Camp, as they discuss the rich history of team sports in Paulding County. Roy and Major will share their passions and experiences with football, baseball, and basketball during the 1940’s and early 1950’s at the Dallas High School. Our presentation will cover the drastic impacts of the Great Depression, WWII, and food rationing on our small-town community and how organized sports were able to help citizens endure the hardships of life.
This event will take place on Saturday, June 4th, from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. at the Dallas Public Library and is made possible by the Paulding County Genealogical Society. This series is part of the PCGS monthly programs and is open to the public at no charge.
