About the Event
Artificial Intelligence and genetic genealogy are two of the hot topics in family history research today. On Saturday, November 1, the Paulding County Genealogical Society program will show how to use those tools to solve family mysteries and open pathways that were previously blocked. The program will be from 10-12 at the Dallas Public Library.
Marilyn Cranford, a local family history consultant, will demonstrate two new tools that use artificial intelligence to help advance genealogical research. She’ll examine the pros and cons of using AI and demonstrate several examples of appropriate, successful results using the FamilySearch Full Text Search and the AI Research Assistant.
Shelly Sidhu will explain the basics of DNA genealogical research and then discuss the new avenues used by forensic genealogists to solve crimes that were previously unsolvable.
