As we mark the 160th anniversary of the Civil War in Paulding County, Wayne Willingham, a leading source of genealogy and history, will discuss the 3 major battles that took place in our community: The Battles of New Hope, Dallas, and Pickett’s Mill. Anyone interested in the Civil War or the local families involved in this historical era will enjoy this presentation. This will be an educational experience for individuals who are curious about how their families were impacted by the battles that unfolded here in Paulding County in 1864.
Wayne Willingham has been the Commander of the Sons of Confederate Veterans (SCV) of Paulding County for more than 26 years. He has produced their monthly programs featuring college history professors and battlefield historians as speakers.
